Transitions When Leaving the Program

1. Various reasons for leaving—as a program in a college community, children leave our center for a wide variety of reasons including:  parents graduating from college, parents leaving school before they graduate, transferring to another school, and our current students moving onto Kindergarten.

2. Kindergarten transitions—we work closely with all community schools and meet with local Kindergarten teachers to help ease the transition to kindergarten.  We receive the kindergarten registration packet from the school district and distribute to our families.  We also post information such as screening, kindergarten readiness night, and other local registration information. 

3. Exit Interviews and questionnaires for families—In order to reflect and enhance the quality of our program, we offer the family an exit interview and questionnaire.
